Terminal units for medical gases and vacuum

Terminal units permit the supply of medical equipment with medical gases and vacuum from the central gas supply system. They are suitable for installation in walls, wall lights, energy panel systems and supply units and so they can be used in all medical areas. To ensure a distinct gas supply the probes and the terminal units have a gas specific shape. Already during the installation of the terminal units an internal safety mechanism ensures that the correct plug-in coupling is connected to the distribution pipe of the same gas.

According to market requirements, Dräger terminal units and probes are available in different standards like the German Standard DIN 13260-part 2, the British Standard BS 5682-1998, the Swedish Standard SS 8752430 or Carbamed. The fulfillment of the European Standards like the DIN EN ISO 9170-1 is documented by the CE – sign on the terminal unit.

Air-Motor

The Air Motor (tool air) serves the operation of the air drivers tools in medical areas. The terminal units of the Air Motor is suitable for installation in walls, energy panel systems and supply units. The terminal units and the probes can not be mixed up with other terminal units when used properly. The Dräger Air Motor terminal unit conforms to standards DIN EN ISO 9170, part 1, DIN 13260, part 2 rsp. DIN ENV 737, part 6.

Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging System (AGSS)

The AGSS is used for scavenging the used and excess anaesthetics gas of the anaesthetic machine to the out-of-door environment or into the exhaust ducts of the airconditioning system. The system is suitable for installation in walls, energy panel systems and supply units. The Dräger AGSS conforms to the European norms DIN EN ISO 7396, part 2 and
DIN EN ISO 9170, part 2 and requirements laid down by the German Health Services and Welfare Employees Union (pamphlet M 638), and is suitable for anaesthetic gas scavenging in accordance with DIN 13252, “Inhalation Anaesthetic Machines”.

Gas Terminal Units, compressed air supply and anesthetic gas removal systems are an integral part of modern medical infrastructure. They ensure safe, standardized and efficient connection of medical equipment to the centralized gas supply system, which is critical for the operation of medical facilities at all levels.
